Not on Bohm, Varela, but also Gunther, Heinz von Foerster, etc. - all that
combination of class ai early on with cybernetics, then Bohm messing up
the equation a bit. Bohm talked about art as the work of harmonization and
fit, tracing these notions etymologically. The implicate order is certain
valuable; it's similar or perhaps equivalent? - to classical chaos theory
with its determinisms that appear indeterminate. Wolfram's also of value
here, generating apparent chaos from extremely simple rules...
